About The Moors Society
Moors is the world's first African American Ethnicly based cultural organization. It is a body of knowledge and a system of ethics based on the belief that every Negro man and woman have a responsibility to improve him or herself through a devotion to their ancestry, faith, our Mother Earth, and the greater Negro family.
As Moors, we lead by example, manage and administrate our communities, and support numerous Moors philanthropies. We invest in our families, our African American Reservations, and our future.
Our values
Our mission is guided by the enduring doctrine of our society--supernatural love, peace and hramony, and truth--and our core values, which include:
Ethics
Our lives are based on honor and integrity, and we believe that honesty, selfless service, trust, and knowledge of self are important.
Tolerance
The society values faith based religion, ethnic based culture, social, and educational diversity. We respect the ideas of others and strive to improve and develop as human beings.
Personal growth
Our continuous pursuit of education, ethics, spirituality, and proper leadership brings more meaning and greater depth to our lives.
Philanthropy
We make a difference in the lives of our people through charitable giving, community ministry, and volunteerism.
